Located at the top of Main Street in the historical Star Hotel, the Big Dipper holds onto Park City history, while bringing a modern, refreshing new buzz to the town.
Brought to life in November of 2021 Big Dipper Park City is the product of Cortney Johanson, Fabio Ferreira, and Chef Matthew Safranek. Fabio loves French Dips, and in a fit of passionate brainstorming Cortney wondered if an entirely French Dip based restaurant was feasible, because it is the Star Hotel, and what better way to pay homage to the Star than to have a star system as it’s anchor and call it Big Dipper.
Cleanly decorated and family friendly, Big Dipper shows love to the past with pictures scoured from the Park City Historic Society, including the original cottage that sat on the property. The menu also shows love to Park City’s past with nods to Karleen Riley who ran the universally loved Karleen’s Uptown Fare and Adolf Imboden of Adolf’s via “A Hunk-a Hunk-a Bernese Love.”
Canned beers, wine, and hard seltzer are available, as are a kid’s menu, and Park City’s best fries and loaded tater tots.
